Wamkelekile to the Khayelitsha Community Hub

Our Vision

We believe in enriching our roots through uniting with nature.

In our community, we believe in enriching our roots through uniting with nature. Originating as the Khayelitsha Canoe Club in 2013, it has evolved into the Khayelitsha Community Hub.

Offering environmental ownership, education, and cultural experiences.

The Khayelitsha Community Hub serves as a harmonious space where nature, residents, and tourists coexist, working together to enhance existing elements and innovate new ways of living and supporting one another.

The hub cleans the wetlands and makes sustainable biochar

We organise tours for enthusiastic tourist and locals

We educate the generation of the future

With our community gardens we create food and freedom
